Sylvain Wiltord signed for Arsenal on the 26th August 2000 after spending three seasons at French club Bordeaux. Arsenal paid a club-record fee of £13 million for the player which could play both as a winger and as a striker. For Arsenal, Wiltord appeared in 104 league matches between 2000 and 2004, scoring 32 league goals. He left Arsenal in 2004 for free as his contract expired and he decided to return to France with Olympique Lyon. After that, he played for Rennes, Marseille, Metz and Nantes. In a vote to find the Top 50 Arsenal Players in the club's history, Wiltord was voted 33rd.
